• Oversee the execution of all technical operations on our vessels, ensuring adherence to the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and compliance with maritime regulations in operational regions.
• Manage the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) to guarantee timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks and ensure they are relevant and realistic.
• Conduct verification and validation of PMS tasks promptly to uphold operational efficiency.
• Track defects and job cards raised by vessels, ensuring timely resolution to maintain operational continuity and minimize downtime.
• Monitor and control vessel operating costs to remain within the approved budget.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and vessel information.
• Plan and execute dry dock and special survey schedules within budgetary constraints while complying with IMS standards.
• Ensure adequate inventory of critical spare parts to prevent operational interruptions.
• Establish and monitor fuel oil consumption KPIs to optimize fuel utilization.
• Coordinate and ensure completion of all client and statutory inspections and audits, addressing any punch list items promptly.
• Perform annual physical stock counts onboard vessels to ensure accurate inventory management. Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Marine Engineering or a related field)
Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC) – Class 1 Unlimited or equivalent qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as Chief Engineer onBoard vessels
At least 2-3 years of experience within the marine or offshore industry
Experience with OSV (Offshore Support Vessels) or mainstream operations is preferred
Prior sailing experience on offshore or commercial vessels is a requirement
Minimum 1 year of direct involvement with operations or audits related to Aramco or ADNOC (especially important for Gulf region operations)
In-depth knowledge of marine engineering systems, dry docking processes, class inspections, and regulatory compliance
Proficient in maritime digitalization trends such as remote monitoring and digital PMS systems
