Technical Product Owner

The Technical Product Manager is a strategic leader responsible for defining and delivering the next generation of AI and Machine Learning platforms at ADCB. This role sits at the intersection of Data Science, Engineering, and Business, transforming the Bank’s Generative AI strategy into scalable, secure, and high-impact products. You will own the product roadmap and agile execution for squads focused on LLMs, agentic systems, and enterprise ML platforms. Success in this role requires a deep technical understanding of AI evaluation and observability combined with the commercial acumen to drive ROI and continuous improvement across the Bank’s digital and operational value streams.

As the Technical Product Owner, your responsibilities will include;

• Translating the enterprise Generative AI strategy into actionable technical roadmaps, backlogs, and engineering-ready capabilities.
• Acting as the Product Owner for AI squads, facilitating sprint planning, backlog refinement in Jira, and removing blockers to maintain high delivery velocity.
• Defining and implementing robust frameworks for evaluating LLMs and agentic workflows, ensuring AI outputs are transparent, explainable, and high-performing.
• Leading the end-to-end AI product lifecycle, from rapid prototyping and feasibility assessment to production monitoring and iterative improvement.
• Serving as the primary liaison between technical squads and business units, narrating complex AI capabilities as compelling business value propositions.
• Ensuring all AI products align with ADCB’s ethical principles, compliance standards, and enterprise-grade security requirements.

Requirements

What we need you to have:

• A minimum of 7 years in Product Management, specifically focused on AI, digital platforms, or enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Information Systems. A Master’s degree or specialized certification in AI Strategy is highly preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional squads to deliver successful AI/ML products from concept to production.
• A strong understanding of Generative AI concepts, including RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), LLMs, agentic systems, and RLHF.
• Expert-level experience in managing complex backlogs, prioritizing features based on business impact, and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Knowledge of evaluation frameworks for AI models and the ability to define KPIs that measure both technical performance and business ROI.
• Familiarity with the modern AI stack (e.g., Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Pinecone) and agile management tools like Jira.
• Ability to balance rapid experimentation and prototyping with the requirements of a highly regulated banking environment.
It would be beneficial if you also have:

• Qualifications including; CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner), SAFe POPM, or equivalent agile certifications.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leadership through clear product visions.
• A proactive approach to identifying emerging AI trends and assessing their applicability to banking use cases.
• Active contribution to an internal AI Community of Practice to foster knowledge sharing and innovation across the Bank.
