About the Job:
Responsible for providing leadership and direction to Chartering team. Plan coordinates, and participates in the formulation of commercial strategies, considering the consistency of such strategies with the overall organization’s objectives and requirements during all phases of the commercial processes. Provides commercial interpretations, clarifications and definitions to the direct manager. Develops and controls the preparation and analysis of commercial activities as well as recommends appropriate course of actions
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Participates in formulating strategies for tendering (Charter In/Out) to secure award of contracts while ensuring transparency, fairness and best commercial practices.
- Supervise and coordinate commercial team all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Participates and develops in the planning of short, medium and long-term Business Strategies and Assist in developing the Business unit commercial strategy
- Attend Clients’ and Contractors meetings related to tendering (Charter In/Out) as required
- Support Commercial Manager in the delivery of department objectives and compliance to processes.
- Participates in the evaluation of Monthly Management Reports, prepares summarized reports, comments and recommends appropriate action plans
- Identify, in coordination with other Commercial Sections, areas where performance can be improved, and analyse, strategize, plan and coach them.
GENERIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost controlPolicies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Minimum Requirtments:
- Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial and chartering
- Experience in the Offshore Industry (Offshore/ Onshore)
- Regional Experience in GCC (with IOC/NOC/EPC)
- Understanding of the Market Trends
- Ability to identify issues and areas for improvement
- Ability to prepare models to assess profitability of identified opportunities.
- Ability to develop commercial strategies
Requirements
