POSITION SUMMARY

Our Guest Environment Experts are skilled in a wide range of housekeeping functions with responsibility for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the whole hotel. They are empowered to move about their space and do what needs to be done. Whether delivering guest requests, stocking carts, cleaning rooms and public spaces, or other similar responsibilities, the Guest Environment Expert makes sure the spaces in the hotel help create a great guest experience.

No matter what position you are in, there are a few things that are critical to success – ensuring a safe work place, following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional. Perform alterations, repairs, and tailoring of associates' uniforms and hotel linen items. Measure, fit, and alter garments according to requirements. Repair torn, damaged, or worn uniforms and textile items in a timely manner. Operate sewing machines, pressing equipment, and tailoring tools safely and effectively. Conduct routine inspections of uniforms to ensure quality and presentation standards are maintained. Maintain inventory of tailoring supplies and report replenishment needs. Follow all health, safety, and hotel policies and procedures. Support the housekeeping and laundry teams as required. Ensure a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as a Tailor, Seamstress, or Alteration Specialist, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

• Knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric types.

• Ability to operate industrial sewing equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
