Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Sustainability Lead to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and drive our environmental and sustainability initiatives in alignment with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and global best practices. This strategic leadership role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive sustainability programs that support our organization's commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices.
• Develop and execute comprehensive sustainability strategies and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals and regional initiatives
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement sustainability programs across all business operations
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for environmental and sustainability metrics
• Prepare and manage sustainability reporting in accordance with international frameworks such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD
• Conduct carbon footprint assessments and develop strategies for emissions reduction and climate risk management
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate sustainability considerations into business decision-making processes
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry partners, and community organizations
• Analyze and ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations and standards
• Identify opportunities for resource optimization, waste reduction, and energy efficiency improvements
• Manage sustainability-related projects from conception through implementation and evaluation
• Provide training and awareness programs to build organizational sustainability capabilities
• Research and evaluate emerging sustainability trends, technologies, and best practices
Qualifications
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or related field
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects
• Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISO 14001)
• Experience with carbon footprint analysis, life cycle assessment, and environmental impact measurement
• Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and sustainability software platforms
• Excellent project management skills with experience in program implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills preferred
• Knowledge of Middle East environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives is highly desirable
• Experience working with senior executives and board-level reporting
• Understanding of supply chain sustainability and vendor management practices
• Familiarity with renewable energy, waste management, and water conservation strategies
• Professional certifications in sustainability or environmental management preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
