Sr. Accountant Capex

The purpose of the role is to manage and oversee capital expenditure accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the capital expenditure accounting process, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare and maintain detailed capital expenditure budgets, tracking project costs and ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
• Conduct regular reviews of capital projects to ensure expenditures are within budget and provide variance analysis to management.
• Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary financial data and provide insights on capital project performance and financial implications
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to capital expenditures, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements by providing accurate capital expenditure data and analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to capital expenditures.
• Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of capital expenditure accounting and reporting.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure proper documentation and approvals are obtained for capital expenditure requests.
• Utilise financial tools and systems including Excel, Power BI, EPM, and ERP to analyse Capital Project data, prepare reports, and automate process.
• Review and improve financial processes by identifying inefficiencies and proposing automation or optimization solutions to enhance accuracy and speed.
• Validate the capital investment within the Feasibility anaylsis study.Qualifications and Experience:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Preferred: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA)

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
