Specialist Visceral Surgeon Immediate Hiring

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Visceral Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with diseases affecting the abdominal and gastrointestinal organs, perform elective and emergency surgical procedures, and work closely with a multidisciplinary medical team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive surgical consultations, clinical assessments, and pre-operative evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and abdominal surgical conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency abdominal surgical procedures according to clinical expertise.
• Manage conditions involving the stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and other abdominal organs.
• Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures where qualified.
• Manage acute abdominal emergencies, including appendicitis, bowel obstruction, perforation, gastrointestinal bleeding, and abdominal trauma.
• Perform procedures such as cholecystectomy, hernia repair, appendectomy, bowel surgery, and other visceral surgical interventions as appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Interpret relevant laboratory investigations, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other diagnostic imaging.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other specialists.
• Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, surgical options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records, operative notes, and clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
• Participate in on-call duties and emergency surgical coverage as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• MS / DNB / FRCS / Arab Board or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery / Visceral Surgery.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience as a Specialist Visceral Surgeon.
• Strong experience in gastrointestinal and abdominal surgery.
• Proven experience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery is preferred.
• Experience in emergency abdominal surgery is highly preferred.
• Excellent clinical judgment, surgical skills, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team.
