JOB PURPOSE:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for end-to-end UAE payroll operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing in line with local regulations and company policies. The role includes coordinating with stakeholders and payroll vendors, validating payroll inputs and outputs, managing off-cycle payments and final settlements, and administering social security and statutory reporting. The specialist also supports employees with payroll inquiries, maintains accurate payroll records for audits, and proactively monitors regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement in payroll accuracy, compliance, and employee experience.

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
 Manage Payroll: Manage end-to-end Payroll operations for assigned entities by adhering to the Payroll SOP and approved payroll calendars. This includes executing monthly, off-cycle, and final settlement payrolls with accuracy and ensuring all payments are processed in a timely manner.
 Payroll Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third party payroll vendors to manage monthly, off cycle, and final settlement payroll cycles. Provide accurate payroll inputs, review and reconcile payroll registers, resolve discrepancies, and communicate timely payroll approvals. Confirm final payroll costs, coordinate invoice issuance, and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing.
 Social Security Administration: Review and reconcile employee and employer social security contributions to ensure accuracy. Validate calculations and deductions in line with country-specific regulations, and initiate timely payments to the relevant social security authorities
 Support payroll system improvement activities: Identifying and reporting system bugs or payroll-related issues to the IT Support team. Document and communicate enhancement requirements to improve functionality, accuracy, and user experience. Support system testing activities—including test case preparation, execution of UATs, and validation of results—to ensure successful deployment of payroll system updates and enhancements.
 Payroll Reporting & Dashboard: Support the preparation of payroll reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses, including statutory payroll submissions to relevant authorities.
 Payroll Verification & Reconciliation: Independently perform payroll verification and reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of payroll results, maintaining established payroll accuracy targets.
 Employee Support: Effectively manage Tier 2 payroll-related queries assigned by the Ask HR team, ensuring clear guidance and timely resolution within defined SLAs, while maintaining high levels of employee satisfaction.
 Audit & Payroll Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and well organized payroll records, including retaining all payroll documents in the shared drive, and support both internal and external audits by ensuring accurate and complete documentation for all international payroll transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualification
 Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline
 Professional certifications (preferred but not mandatory), CPP (Certified Payroll Professional), ACA, ACCA
 3–5 years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally with exposure to multi-country payroll operations.
 Experience working with payroll vendors and managing vendor relationships.
 Strong understanding of global payroll compliance, including:
 Social security schemes
 Labor laws and statutory reporting
