JOB PURPOSE:
Develop, review & rollout procedures, guidelines and standards related to corrosion management of critical static facilities installed at ADNOC Onshore Assets in line with the overall inspection and corrosion management strategies, leadership direction, international standards and ADNOC Onshore business requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Review, monitor and verify the static equipment corrosion rates and ensure that are maintained within acceptable limits and risk of failure is maintained with in ALARP level.
• Act as corrosion control subject matter expert for surface facilities static equipment
• Conduct failure investigations, root cause analysis for Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) incidents with static facilities. Promote implementation of new technologies for Corrosion Management.
• Develop, Review & Update Corrosion Monitoring & Corrosion Control Standards including production chemicals.
• Review and endorse Corrosion Management plans.
• Evaluate effectiveness of Corrosion control systems.
• Develop and Monitor Corrosion Management KPI's
• Support Asset Integrity Management Systems (AIMS) activities and new technology trials.
• Lead Technical Audits & Failure Investigations.
• Support implementation of AIMS across AssetsGeneric Accountabilities
Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Review and highlight significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's / Department work programs in line with Company, ADNOC and International standards.Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved annual Performance Objectives set for the Section /Department in line with the Company Performance framework.Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with the ADNOC Onshore/ ADNOC HSE procedure requirements
- Report all incident and occupational illness to line supervisor.
- If aware of any unsafe practice or condition, or if in any doubt about the safety of any situation, immediately consult their Line supervisor.
- Carryout the emergency responsibilities in line with the respective roles as per the emergency organization.Reports
• Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
- Regular contacts within Technical Center (I&OE), Technical Center (Eng.) and all ADNOC Onshore Assets Operation teams.
- Support Procurement, Corporate HSE and Information technology teams.External
• Provide technical support to ADNOC group of companies, as and when required, as assigned from Function.
• Coordinate with external consultants & vendors towards resolving technical integrity issuesQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Metallurgy / Mechanical / Chemical Engineering. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 10 year experience in similar role including 5 years in a senior positions related to Corrosion & inspectionProfessional Certifications
Additional Certifications preferred: NDT & NACE Certifications
Requirements
- •Subject matter expertise in corrosion control for surface facilities
- •Experience in conducting failure investigations and root cause analysis (LOPC)
- •Knowledge of international standards and ADNOC business requirements
- •Ability to develop and monitor Corrosion Management KPIs
- •Experience in leading Technical Audits
- •Ability to train and develop staff on relevant skills
