Specialist / Consultant Surgical Oncologist in a Leading Healthcare Facility

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant Surgical Oncologist to join its multidisciplinary cancer care team. The successful candidate will provide advanced surgical management for patients with complex oncological conditions while working alongside medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive cancer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate, and provide surgical treatment for patients with various solid tumors and cancers.
• Perform complex oncological surgeries, including minimally invasive and open procedures where applicable.
• Manage pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative care of oncology patients.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Perform cancer staging assessments and coordinate care with oncology teams.
• Provide follow-up care and long-term surveillance for cancer patients.
• Maintain high standards of clinical practice, patient safety, and ethical care.
• Participate in clinical audits, research activities, teaching, and continuous medical education.
• Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to departmental development.Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent).
• Completion of specialist training in General Surgery.
• Fellowship or advanced qualification in Surgical Oncology.
• Recognized specialist qualification (e.g., Fellowship in Surgical Oncology, American Board certification, FRCS or equivalent).
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialty Consultant experience preferred.
• Expertise in complex cancer surgeries and multidisciplinary oncology care.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
