Specialist - ANS Security

Security Governance and Operations

• Support in the implementation and continuous enhancement of physical security controls within the Air Navigation Centre to safeguard personnel, assets, and critical CNS infrastructure.

• Ensure operational readiness and effectiveness of all security systems, including access control, CCTV, perimeter protection, and intrusion detection systems.
Regulatory Compliance and Security Assurance

• Ensure full adherence to GCAA regulations, ICAO Annex 17 standards, National Civil Aviation Security Program and UAE national critical infrastructure requirements through structured audits, compliance monitoring, and control assessments.

• Identify regulatory gaps and implement corrective and preventive security measures to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
Security Risk Management

• Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses and develop mitigation strategies to address identified threats and exposures.

• Raise security risk findings and recommendations to management and monitor implementation of agreed mitigation actions.
Incident Command and Investigation

• Direct and manage security incident response activities within approved authority limits to ensure containment, continuity of operations, and regulatory compliance.

• Conduct detailed investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions in coordination with relevant authorities.
Security Systems Strategy and Enhancement

• Evaluate, recommend, and oversee implementation of security system upgrades and technology enhancements aligned with operational requirements and evolving threat landscapes.

• Provide technical expertise in vendor evaluation, system integration, and performance assurance.

Policy Development and Control Frameworks

• Develop, review, and maintain security policies, procedures, and control frameworks to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.

• Ensure robust access control governance, including clearance management and contractor oversight.

Security Capability and Awareness

• Establish and deliver structured security awareness initiatives to strengthen organizational security culture.

• Ensure personnel security compliance through monitoring of clearances, certifications, and training requirements.

Security Reporting and Performance Management

• Develop and maintain security performance metrics, compliance dashboards, and incident reporting mechanisms.

• Provide analytical security reports and recommendations to management to support informed decision-making.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in physical security, law enforcement, military security, airport security operations, aviation security

• Technical knowledge of physical security systems including access control, CCTV, perimeter security, alarm and intrusion detection systems, and security monitoring platforms.

• Working knowledge of GCAA security regulations, ICAO Annex 17, and UAE national security requirements related to aviation and critical infrastructure facilities.

• Practical experience in security risk assessments, audits, incident response, investigations, and coordination with law enforcement or national security authorities within a regulated operational environment.
