Responsible for the execution of the space strategic tactics on level of macrospace planning(determining layout and divisions zones in each location) and microspace planning (making and maintaining display guidelines and/or planogram) to achieve the entire financial objectives and act as a focal point with relevant stakeholders “ commercial,supply chain,store design,VM and operation” for KSA and UAE stores. He/She will participate cross functionally in inventory budget control and optimization as well responsible for revenue generation through his participation with contract team to reflect the contract commitments.

Accountabilities

Macro space planning in KSA, UAE stores

• Execute macro space-planning strategy (Macro, Miso, Micro level) by defining actions plans, setting up priorities, and measuring outcomes to ensure successful execution according to the individual and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Responsible for space planning database (Store layout database, fixture database, product database, etc.) by defining administration processes, ensuring on-going updates and revisions.

• Execute the space management automation plan through:

• Create and reflect all Layouts and CATMAPs to the system.

• Comply to the category hierarchy and fixture naming guidelines.

• Comply to training agenda.

• Train the store crew and VM specialists for the implementation process.

• Responsible for creation and submission of CATMAPs for all assigned stores.

• Participate in new opening project by providing store design team, network team, commercial team and VM team with approved CATMAP and layout.

• Ensure delivery of all floor plans in line with blueprint principles to time and quality using different Floor Planning application.

• Ensure all relevant market, space and customer insights are integrated into floor plans.

• Conduct analysis and reports related to space planning (e.g., planogram productivity per segment/ category/ store, space productivity per store) by collating and processing space planning related data to monitor performance.

• Identify ways of continuous improvements, maximize return on space for all store on new and revamped stores and support other functions of the business (e.g., category management team, store operations)

• Monitor compliance with space planning guidelines by conducting regular store visits and meetings with key stakeholders (e.g., Retail Operations team) to ensure successful implementation of space planning initiatives.

• Working as the subject matter expertise for reviewing store space queries.

• Take responsibility assure that the below activities are reflected.

• Seeding of new SKUs to make minor or major changes in layout and/or CATMAPs of relevant stores.

• Deranging of items and/or brands to make minor or major changes in layout and/or CATMAPs of relevant stores.

• Expansion of items and/or brands to make minor or major changes in layout and/or CATMAPs of relevant stores.

• Special clearance and promo projects to make minor or major changes in layout and/or CATMAPs of relevant stores.

• Working as the subject matter expertise for reviewing store space queries.

• Leading relevant field team in determining the capacity and units’ type of secondary display in each store like floor stand, counter stand, end cap…. etc. and balancing between guest experience and other revenue generated from space renting. Also highlighting free endcaps (to be managed by store crew) and promo endcaps in the CATMAP.

Micro space planning in KSA & UAE stores

• Responsible for creation and revision of planograms (e.g., multi-size, Master planogram, individual planogram etc.) by considering a multitude of factors (e.g., category strategy, tactics, Key Performance Indicators, category cycle plan etc.) to enhance in store shopping experience and increase sales and profit turn on category and item level.

• Leading relevant resources using relevant systems or manual methods during crafting display guidelines for display categories (Master planogram) or specific planogram per store and this display guidelines or planogram should be aligned with the commercial team’s strategy.

• Produce space planning related supporting documentation by creating guidelines and manuals (e.g., Display Guidelines, Planogram Manual) to serve other functions (Store Operations Teams, Field Merchandising team) with the implementation process.

• Communicate directly with category managers advising them by display solutions like displaying items on gondola or wall units, number of display faces for each item, items flow within the same brand…etc. and making choices that ensure the best space utilization from the prioritized brands and SKUs.

• Communicate with all relevant stakeholders about changes in display guidelines or planogram (like increasing or decreasing space of certain brands and/or items).

• Participating in new opening project by providing store design team and VM team with planogram per store for each new store.

• Execute periodic review of display guidelines and planogram based on the inputs update like no. of display faces, brand flow…. etc.

• Audit the planogram execution compliance from visual merchandise and store team.

• Take responsibility assure that the below activities are reflected.

• Seeding of new SKUs to make minor or major changes in layout and/or CATMAPs of relevant stores.

• Deranging of items and/or brands to make minor or major changes in the planogram of relevant category / Store.

• Expansion of items and/or brands to make minor or major changes in the planogram of relevant category / Store.

• Special clearance and promo projects to make minor or major changes in the planogram of relevant category / Store.

Assortment Planning and Optimization Process

• Recommend and define MDQ (minimum display quantities) to maintain the inventory level at the approved budget and keep the shelf presence.

• Conduct assortment Gaps analysis for merchandise planning team based on the available space for each category and category performance.

• Participate with contract team to reflect all supplier contract commitments are executed to improve the revenue generation and gross profit.

Employee duties are not limited only to the above-mentioned Accountabilities; he/she may perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• Indoors : 80%

• Outdoors : 20%

• Working Days : 5 Working Days

• Days off : 2 Days Off

• Working Hours : 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1 hour break)

Job Requirement

Education

• BS Degree

Experience

• 3-5 years in retail business

Computer Skills

• MS Office Suite

• AutoCAD program

Language

• English

• Arabic
