As a Sous Chef, you are responsible for supporting and leading the daily operation of all culinary outlets while ensuring food quality, presentation, service standards, and operational excellence are consistently delivered at the highest level.

You will support the Cluster Director of Culinary in driving culinary innovation, operational efficiency, team development, food safety compliance, and exceptional guest satisfaction across the entire property.

This role is essential in maintaining the reputation and success of our restaurant, cafe, pool bar, in-room dining, and all culinary experiences throughout the hotel.

You will oversee and support the preparation and delivery of exceptional culinary experiences across all outlets, ensuring every dish is executed with precision, consistency, creativity, and care.

From leading service periods and developing culinary talent to maintaining quality standards and enhancing guest experiences, every action you take contributes to the success of the hotel's culinary operations.

The Gig

Reporting to the Cluster Director of Culinary, the Sous Chef supports and oversees culinary operations across all food and beverage outlets at InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay.

You will be responsible for supervising kitchen operations, supporting outlet performance, leading culinary teams, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements.

Menu Execution & Quality Control

  • Support the execution of menus across all outlets, including restaurant, cafe, pool bar, in-room dining, and special events
  • Ensure consistency in recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support menu development, seasonal promotions, and culinary innovation initiatives
  • Collaborate with outlet leaders to enhance dining experiences and operational performance

Experience

  • Previous experience as Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Senior Junior Sous Chef within a luxury hotel environment
  • Proven experience supporting multiple culinary outlets, including restaurants, cafe, pool bar, in-room dining, breakfast operations, and special events
  • Strong experience in Mediterranean, European, and international cuisine concepts
  • Experience working in a Forbes Travel Guide-rated hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of luxury dining standards, personalized guest experiences, and Forbes Travel Guide expectations
  • Proven experience managing food quality, kitchen operations, food costs, inventory control, productivity, and culinary team performance
  • GCC/Dubai experience is highly preferred.
