Software Quality Engineer
Job Summary
The Software Quality Engineer is responsible for executing testing activities, ensuring product quality, and supporting the improvement of QA processes. This role works closely with development teams to identify defects, enhance software reliability, and ensure that all releases meet defined quality standards.

Responsibilities
Execute functional, regression, integration, and basic performance testing. Develop and maintain test plans and test cases, and support basic test automation scripts. Identify, analyze, and document defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve them. Ensure software quality standards and best practices are followed throughout the SDLC. Review requirements and design documents and provide quality-related feedback. Support root-cause analysis activities and contribute to process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and high-quality releases.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance. Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies. Familiarity with testing tools such as Jira, TestRail, and Postman. Basic knowledge of API testing and SQL is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ISTQB CTFL certification is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright). Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience with performance or security testing is a plus.
