Job Description
- Monitor contractor compliance with project HSE plans, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements, project specifications, and local regulations.
- Participate in daily site walks, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Review contractor HSE documentation including risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work systems, and emergency response plans.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and assist in preparing investigation reports.
- Track corrective and preventive actions and verify their closure.
- Monitor high-risk activities including:
- Work at Height
- Lifting Operations
- Excavation Activities
- Confined Space Entry
- Hot Work Activities
- Electrical Works
- Ensure availability and proper use of PPE across project sites.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, observations, and safety statistics.
- Participate in emergency drills and verify emergency preparedness.
- Support the implementation of environmental management requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives on HSE matters.
- Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for PMC management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of HSE experience, preferably within PMC, infrastructure, construction, or engineering consultancy projects.
- Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, roads, buildings, or industrial projects is preferred.Certifications:
- NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory)
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- Fire Safety Training (Preferred)
- OSHA Certification (Preferred)
