As a Shop Operator, under direct supervision, you will set up, monitor and operates various piece of equipment associated with the service and manufacturing facility requirements. May include operation of multiple machines at one time. May perform quality control and assurance activities as required by manufacturing/engineering specifications, internal procedures and ISO requirements.
As a Service Shop Operator, you will be responsible for:
• Inspecting and Repairing activities for Centrifugal Compressors, Centrifugal Pumps, Gas Turbine, and Gearboxes.
• Performing visual inspection, geometrical inspection, non-destructive testing, and other tests & record results as per requirements and data sheets.
• Be responsible for quality control of the in process parts. Where all parts under operations needs to be inspected after the operation is completed and results to be recorded in the data sheets
• Performing product preservation as per procedures.
• Raising HSE concerns/observations as per the HSE per capita target
• Conducting machine tool preventive maintenance & conduct daily maintenance checklist.
• Reporting out fixture and toolings performance and rigidity evaluation as well as testing of new fixture design and clamping method.
• Performing 6S and housekeeping activities for the machines (interior & exterior), workstations, and its surrounding and participate in improvement project and implementation of lean ManufacturingFuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent level of education and hands-on experience in operating mechanical machines
• Have knowledge and experience to perform several types of inspections, repairs, Balancing, and testing of centrifugal compressors and centrifugal pumps
• Have 3 years experience in repair activities of rotating equipment (centrifugal compressors, centrifugal pumps, gas turbines, and gearboxes)
• Have 5 year’s experience in manufacturing or service shops
• Have Experience in compressor, or pumps bundle and casing inspection, repair and assembly and reassembly
• Have experience in Gas Turbine components repairs
• Experience & Knowledge in Machining is preferred
• Experience & Knowledge in Balancing is preferred
• The shop will be initially operative during morning shifts only. However, the candidate needs to be able to work in a 2-3 shift patter and work overtime if needed
• Display a mechanical aptitude or an enthusiasm to learn and develop your skill set in a hands-on environment
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to be a valuable team playerWork in a way that works for you

Requirements
- •High School Diploma or equivalent
- •Hands-on experience operating mechanical machines
- •Knowledge and experience in inspections, repairs, balancing, and testing of centrifugal compressors and pumps
- •3 years experience in repair activities of rotating equipment (centrifugal compressors, centrifugal pumps, gas turbines, and gearboxes)
- •5 years experience in manufacturing or service shops
- •Experience in compressor, or pumps bundle and casing inspection, repair, and assembly/reassembly
- •Experience in Gas Turbine components repairs
Nice to Have
- •Knowledge in Machining
