Senior Specifications Engineer

Position Overview: The Senior Specifications Engineer will be responsible for researching, developing, and writing accurate, comprehensive, and detailed technical specifications for all project disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering systems (MEP, Architectural, Structural) specifically tailored for complex highrise developments.

Key Responsibilities:

You will prepare detailed, project-specific technical descriptions, material requirements, and execution standards for the following systems:

1- Architectural Finishes: High-end interior and exterior material specifications.

2- Facades & Cladding: Curtain walls, aluminum cladding, glazing, and complex building envelopes.

3- Structural Works: Reinforced concrete, steel structures, excavation, earthworks, and backfilling.

4- Waterproofing & Insulation: Advanced thermal insulation, damp-proofing, and watertightness systems for deep basements and exposed roofs.

5- Landscaping: Soft and hard landscaping, irrigation systems, and external works.

6- HVAC Systems: Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation, and smoke management.

7- Electrical Systems: Medium/Low voltage distribution, lighting, power, and emergency systems.

8- Plumbing Systems: Domestic water supply, filtration, and pumping systems.

9- Drainage Systems: Sanitary sewage, stormwater management, and vent systems.

10- Fire & Life Safety (Added): Firefighting networks, sprinklers, alarms, and FM200/NOVEC systems.

11- Low Current & ELV (Added): Building Management Systems (BMS), CCTV, Access Control, and telecommunications

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements: 1- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. 2- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of proven, dedicated experience as a Specifications Engineer or Specification Writer within an Engineering Consultancy. 3- High-Rise Expertise: Demonstrable track record of writing specifications for high-rise buildings 4- Standards & Codes: Deep knowledge of international building codes and specification formats, particularly CSI MasterFormat, NBS, ASTM, BS/EN, IBC, and ASHRAE. 5- Skills: Exceptional technical writing skills in English, acute attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly with multidisciplinary design teams. 6- Excellent knowledge for Revit and BIM
