Corporate Strategy Development and Planning
• Managing the corporate strategy development and performance management processes by supporting the business units/owners in defining strategic initiatives, projects, and activities, ensuring that they are included in the GCAA operational plan for tracking and monitoring at the corporate level.
• Formulating GCAA’s Strategic Plans and providing recommendations while ensuring the fulfillment of GCAA vision and mission.
• Organize workshops to facilitate the discussions and review of the strategic plan such as baseline study, stakeholder study, benchmark study, and the pertinent UAE legislation or ICAO regulations to identify issues of strategic relevance to GCAA.
• Formulate strategic recommendations in response to internal and external factors in the global and national aviation sector and UAE government strategic directions
• Develop initiatives based on the Federal Government strategies and shared KPIs to ensure the accomplishment of these key performance indicators.
Corporate Performance Management Framework
• Maintain a proper tracking and reporting system against corporate performance objectives focusing on impact analysis results of any deviations from plans and objectives to provide timely visibility of performance progress and the Risk Assessment reports.
• Execute and administer the data collection system for departmental KPIs using tools and templates, ensuring alignment with agreed-upon goals and timely monitoring of results
• Create the definitions of key performance indicators (corporate and departmental KPIs) and targets for GCAA services so that performance can be monitored and that achieved results are aligned with agreed objectives.
• Provide expertise in defining KPIs and establishing targets in consultation with the business units for the GCAA Operational Plan.
• Facilitate the coordination of remedial actions for any shortfalls in Operational Plan targets and prepare draft reports for senior management
Corporate Operational Plans
• Provide expertise to the business owners in the development of their yearly operational plans to ensure that the strategic plan is cascaded into clear and well-defined business plans and initiatives/projects.
Internal Coordination and Support
• Ensure consistent application of the corporate strategy and performance scheme across the departments to contribute to the improvement of organizational efficiency level.
• Prepare presentations, speeches, and outlines; monitor industry trends and GCAA surveys and studies to produce consolidated summary reports to business owners.
• Recommend and Support the Business Units in rendering their respective departmental strategies and objectives into departmental plans which will be used in the development of Operational Plans for each Sector of the GCAA
• Respond to all queries/clarifications raised, to facilitate the smooth functioning of the strategy development and performance process as per standards.
Internal Surveillance Program
• Contribute to the implementation of corrective actions raised against the Department under the internal surveillance Programme to align with international standards and continuous improvement.
Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA
• Contribute to ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality service.
Reports
• Ensure that all reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet company/department requirements, policies, and standards.
Other Tasks/ Accountability
• Perform additional tasks relevant to the role/area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.
