Job Purpose
• Effectively manage the procurement and contracting activities for Maaden’s Mega Projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and internationally. This includes developing and implementing sourcing strategies for projects under bidding, procuring major equipment, and preparing procurement and construction packages that maximize value creation for Maaden and its business units.
• The role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with established policies, standards, procedures, and Local Content (LC) requirements. It applies best practices across all Mega Projects to maintain business continuity through the optimal utilization of resources.
• Additionally, the role ensures proper execution of contracts tailored to the specific risk and complexity of each project and facilitates strong coordination with internal and external PDE stakeholders across cross-functional assignments and organizational initiatives.Responsibilities
Strategic Contribution:
• Effectively contribute to the Maaden strategic plan.
• Enhancing the Local Contents of Contractors to comply with Maaden strategy.
• Secure best effective contracting and sourcing strategy.
• Ensures continuous improvement of sourcing to leveraging the commercial competition for each project.
• Assist in the deployment of best practices, lessons learned implementation to maximize performance efficiency and value added to Maaden.Project Contribution
• Assure full compliance to the projects contracts and delegation of authority schedule (DOA) by monitoring the contracts and dispute settlements within the granted authority.
• Support the team to ensure that new stakeholders raising mega projects are aware about its process and policies.
• Provide project-specific/customized contracting solutions, proper project's contracting strategies, project bidding and provide consultations to Manager and Project Team on executed contracts.
• Participate in resolving contractual conflicts with contractors, and in reviewing, negotiating and finalizing Change Orders / Contract Amendments
• Leading the negotiation process for high value contracts.
• Managing Mega Projects claims, disputes and outstanding issues and involve Maaden Legal Counsel whenever required.Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum University Degree in engineering or construction law or commercially oriented discipline such as finance, business administration, or related fields.
Minimum Experience:
4 - 7 Years experience in mining / petrochemical or industrial environment
