Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dur Hospitality Company SJSC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Key Role:
As a Sales Manager you are responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel. Also develops strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.
Key Activities :
•Maintains high visibility in the surrounding community and in the hospitality community as appropriate.
•Cooperate with GM and assigned HODs to create appropriate commercial plan for hotel.
•Maintains efficient sales office procedures and insure the maintenance of accurate and updated account files and follow-up procedures.
•Directs sales leads to outside sales reps, provides motivation, support, encouragement, and direction to all members of the sales department. Makes face-to- face sales calls.
•Maintains all sales systems, such as sales records and reports, conference calendar, traces of history and potentials, logs of groups not previously accommodated and mailing lists.
•Designs new programs and campaigns, to develop additional sales from the various market niches.
•Ensures the prompt and systematic servicing of all business accounts (i.e., tracing, booking, contracting, communicating with hotel departments, and following up with group for feedback and future bookings).
•Identifies and analyses competition, both locally and regionally.
•Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales
•Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
•Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., CVGR, generating proposal, Corporate Rate Application letter, writing contract, customer correspondence)
•Work closely with Revenue Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
•Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
Education:
•Diploma Degree in related field
Experience:
•7 years of Previous hotel-related experience
