Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex construction and project management initiatives from conception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive operational excellence across all project phases.
- Plan, organize, and execute construction and project management initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements specific to the UAE market
- Develop comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans; monitor progress and implement corrective actions to maintain project performance
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining accountability and driving performance excellence
- Manage stakeholder communications, including clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams; provide regular status updates and address concerns proactively
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans to minimize impact on project delivery
- Oversee quality assurance and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to construction standards, safety protocols, and local regulations
- Manage project budgets and financial controls; track expenditures, forecast costs, and optimize resource utilization
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Prepare and present detailed project reports, performance metrics, and lessons learned documentation
- Utilize project management software and construction management tools to track progress, manage documentation, and enhance team collaboration
Qualifications
- 12 years of professional experience in project management, with a minimum of 5 years in construction or project and construction management (PMCM)
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects with budgets exceeding $5 million
- Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
- Advanced proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools
- Demonstrated experience with construction management platforms and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with experience leading cross-functional teams
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices in the UAE and Gulf region
- Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships across all organizational levels
- Familiarity with PMCM methodologies and frameworks
- Professional certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is preferred
- Experience working on projects in the Middle East region is highly desirable
