Senior Piping Material Handling Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Piping Material Handling Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of the Department to join our team based in UAE, Abu Dhabi.

About the mission we offer you:

QUALIFICATIONS:

(i) Specialist with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an extensive expertise in equipment layout, human factor engineering requirements and mechanical handling design/engineering aspects with at least 12 years’ experience in Major oil/gas offshore and onshore projects from conceptual to EPC phase.

(ii) Working experience in CAD-3D Design environment (Smart plan Review, Naviswork and Review Reality) is essential for this position. Offshore site experience will be a must.

B. RESPONSIBILITIES/PROFILE:

Reports operationally to the Piping Lead Engineer and functionally to Installation & HFE Unit Head with following responsibilities/profile:

(i) To coordinate/participate in (internal and client) plot plan and 3D model reviews.

(ii) Establish various handling requirements

(iii) Responsible for supervising, coordinating, advising rendering technical support to Piping Engineering/Design group relating to Human Factor Engineering requirements and material handling philosophy ensuring all maintenance and operation activities will be carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

(iv) To produce Project(s) handling philosophy, scope of work, Mechanical Handling reports, datasheets, equipment list and relevant material requisitions including Vendor drawings review and approval.

(v) To initiate internal workshops, thru 3D Model reviews, during the course of Project(s) to ensure optimum performance is achieved as per the required Technical specifications, procedures and a cost effective integration of the handling philosophy.

(vi) To establish volume and space reservation requirements for operation and maintenance of valves, monorails, equipment and skid packages.
