Senior Officer, Fire Services

About the Job:

Supervise, coordinate and monitor the Fire Services activities for responding the fire intervention in the plant in accordance with company HSE Policy.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Fire Services Planning and  Management
•    Supervise, conduct and participate in safety, firefighting and loss prevention activities by identifying follow-up action for Mock Drills with observation / recommendations.
•    Participate in organizing and implementing various site audits for compliance with Company’s fire and safety policies.
•    Follow-up Work Orders, Plant Chang Requests, and ensure the implementation of Audit’s and Incident Reports comments and recommendations for effective monitoring status.
•    Organize and participate in the HSE meetings and provide appropriate advice for better & effective safety processes.
•    Monitor different works at site with the emphasis on the proper implementation of Permit To Work system.
•    Contribute to the development, implementation and regular review of the Fire Services policies, procedures and systems to ensure consistent & systematic application of best practices and to improve plan performance.
•    Prepare and implement the annual, monthly and daily schedules for the fire services section for effective planning.
•    Participate in the development of site fire prevention procedure and guidelines in line with best practices.
•    Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.

Emergency Response
•    Act as an incident Controller in the absence of the Section Head, during an emergency, and ensure utilization of resources such as auxiliary and mutual aid teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 8 years of experience in Fire Services in gas plant or refinery operations
