Title and Summary

Senior Managing Consultant, Specialized Product Delivery (Product / Portfolio Specialist)

Overview:

As a Senior Managing Consultant, Specialized Product Delivery (Product / Portfolio Specialist) you will be responsible for driving profit and growth for cards, encompassing revenue, credit costs (including Fraud), and direct/allocated costs. This role involves strategic oversight, leadership, and collaboration to ensure the successful management and innovation of card products in alignment with consumer banking strategies. You will design and successfully execute card product and portfolio management strategies through action plans covering card metrics such as new acquisition, activation, ENR, spend, retention, profitability etc. - with direct exposure to senior client executives and internal product leaders.

Role:

Advisors Deploy is an execution-oriented client facing competency that applies proven, accredited change skills and domain experience to partner with clients and help them drive measurable value by:
• Delivering new products and strategies to market smoothly and efficiently
• Successfully implementing complex technology and delivering the most challenging transformation programs to create the new business as usual
• Strengthening client’s internal skills, knowledge and experience in critical areas
• Transforming client processes and optimizing their management practices

As part of this role you will have the following key responsibilities:

Product Roll-out:
• Lead the commercialization and launch of new products and solutions, recommending pricing, providing sales tools, and training the sales team to ensure successful sales in partnership with the acquisitions vertical.
• Monitor product performance post-roll-out and resolve product or sales issues to ensure continuous improvement.

Client Profit and Growth:
• Lead initiatives to support client profit and growth for cards, managing revenue, credit costs, and direct/allocated costs.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight for product management, audit, compliance matters, and complaints support.

Strategic Guidance and Support:
• Develop and execute strategies aimed at generating revenue through products, ensuring alignment with consumer banking strategy and whole-of-bank value.
• Guide and support client-facing professionals and sales teams in solving complex client needs through products, in conjunction with the acquisitions vertical.

Marketing and Campaign Execution:
• Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns to drive product growth, ensuring collaboration with the internal marketing team and acquisitions vertical.
• Ensure the execution of end-to-end solutions for all client segments, resulting in superior customer experience.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:
• Lead training initiatives for internal stakeholders about product offerings, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to facilitate product roll-out.
Competitive Benchmarking and Pricing:
• Perform and analyze competitive benchmarking of products vis-Ć -vis competition and the market, and review pricing periodically.

Product Innovation and Development:
• Lead the development of consumer product strategies and value propositions, aligning with customer needs and market trends.
• Provide strategic guidance and support in product performance and development based on market trends and customer needs.
• Execute product strategies to deliver consumer banking solutions to clients.
• Oversee the execution of CVP enhancement of existing services and the development and implementation of new product solutions, with a focus on being digital-first.
• Monitor and evaluate the evolving competitive and regulatory environments to ensure products remain competitive and meet clients’ needs.
• Develop and execute strategic and tactical roadmaps to enhance products and services offered.
• Collaborate across the cards team and stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities for product improvement.

Internal Collaboration:
• Work in collaboration with cross-product client teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Operations, Technology, Credit, Legal, and Risk, to deliver a high level of client experience.

Execution and Implementation:
• Oversee the delivery of large programs for clients from initiation to benefit realization.
• Ensure the successful execution of projects across different clients/businesses, identifying and mitigating risks, solving issues, and developing plans in line with agreed timescales, budgets, and quality criteria.
• Develop strong client relationships that endure beyond specific assignments, serving as a go-to resource for client staff and being sought out for industry and firm knowledge.
• Identify new business opportunities to support clients with Mastercard solutions.

All About You

  • Experience in delivery of large, complex projects / programs of diverse size in a cross-functional, multicultural environment
  • Domain knowledge of payments industry and hands on experience of program management, ability to manage multiple stakeholders under deadlines pressure.
  • Able to plan and manage a multi-workstream program from inception to delivery providing support, direction and / or technical expertise to the project team across multiple disciplines and geographies
  • Develop strong presence in the client organization extending beyond the immediate boundaries of the program
  • Bring interesting & relevant industry perspectives, insights and ideas to key stakeholders in the client organization
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Able to define scope, timelines and budgets in a clear, concise language in writing and verbally. Able to report on issues, risks, progress, timelines etc. accurately and summarize effectively offering analysis, options and credible solutions
  • Able to handle multiple priorities, work independently, think laterally and manage multiple issues under the pressure of conflicting constraints and limited resources. Perform and articulate cost / benefit / risk analysis
  • Able to lead, motivate and develop a team of professionals

All About Your Education & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Advanced degree or MBA preferred
• Fluent local office language and English required, other languages desirable (Arabic)
• Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in building relationships
• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required, knowledge of Project Management tools preferred
• Relevant experience of 15 years+ in Cards Product and Portfolio Management
• Regional experience preferred (i.e. GCC)
• Fluent local office language and English required, other languages desirable (e.g. Arabic)
• Comfortable with significant client interaction and interest in building relationships
• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required, knowledge of Project Management tools preferred
• Structured approach to project management
• Analytical skills
• Willingness to travel
