Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this senior role, you will lead the design and delivery of innovative landscape architecture projects, ranging from commercial developments to master-planned communities. You will combine creative vision with technical expertise to create compelling outdoor environments that enhance the urban landscape while respecting the unique climate and cultural context of the region. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior team members, influence design direction, and make a significant impact on high-profile projects.
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and delivery of landscape architecture projects from initial concept through construction administration
- Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions that respond to site conditions, client objectives, and Abu Dhabi's environmental and regulatory requirements
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including master plans, detailed drawings, specifications, and 3D visualizations
- Manage and mentor landscape design teams, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, urban planners, and other stakeholders to integrate landscape design with broader project goals
- Present design concepts and project updates to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams with clarity and professionalism
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards specific to the UAE
- Oversee project implementation and quality control during construction phases to ensure design intent is realized
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in landscape architecture and sustainable design
- Contribute to business development efforts by preparing proposals and participating in client presentations
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of professional landscape architecture experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership capacity
- Bachelors degree in the relevant discipline field. Masters degree preferred.
- Working towards professional membership in Urban Design or Architecture e.g. RIBA or equivalent in the relevant discipline degree
- Advanced proficiency in landscape design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
