Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Jira Board Specialist to drive Agile governance, delivery transparency, and workflow optimization within a large banking environment.

This role requires deep hands-on expertise in enterprise-level Jira implementations, board configuration, reporting, and Agile delivery tracking. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, PMO, and IT teams to ensure alignment, visibility, and continuous improvement across programs.

Key Responsibilities

Jira Configuration & Administration

• Configure and manage Jira Scrum and Kanban boards for multiple squads and programs.
• Design and maintain workflows, issue types, custom fields, screens, schemes, and permission structures.
• Optimize board structures to improve delivery transparency and reporting accuracy.
• Ensure Jira data integrity, governance standards, and best practice adoption.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

• Develop advanced dashboards and reporting using JQL.
• Create automated performance tracking for sprint velocity, burn-down, and release progress.
• Provide executive-level visibility into project and program performance.
• Support release tracking and cross-team coordination.

Agile Enablement & Governance

• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.
• Implement Jira automation rules and integrations (Confluence, DevOps tools, etc.).
• Collaborate with PMO, Product Owners, and IT leadership to enhance Agile maturity.
• Provide training and ongoing support to business and technical teams.Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience (enterprise environments preferred).
• Strong expertise in:
• Jira board configuration (Scrum & Kanban)
• Workflow design and scheme management
• Advanced JQL
• Dashboard and reporting creation
•
• Practical experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum / Kanban).
• Experience working within banking or large enterprise environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Atlassian Jira Certification.
• Experience in financial services or banking sector.
• Familiarity with DevOps integrations.
• Knowledge of Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
