Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer for a major Roads and Bridges project located in Dubai. The Senior Structural Engineer will work under the guidance of the Resident Engineer and the Project Manager and will be responsible for leading the work of a design squad on various types of structures on major roadway projects. Projects include design of new highways and upgrading/rehabilitation of existing roads.
Job Duties
⢠Make new procedures for QA/QC as applicable for inspections, test plans
⢠Follow up set inspection for installations and review inspectorās performance on a regular basis.
⢠Update progress for all assigned works to the project manager to include in his reports
⢠Review updated records that would form as built records
⢠Check and coordinate for all assigned services
⢠Coordinate with Head office (Design) for all material reviews and design queriesQualification
⢠Bachelors in Structural Engineering
⢠P.Eng preferredExperience
⢠Minimum 12 years of experience within similar projectsAdditional Comments
⢠Middle East experience preferred

Requirements
- ā¢Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; advanced degree preferred
- ā¢Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on bridges and underpasses
- ā¢Comprehensive knowledge of RTA specifications
- ā¢Familiarity with Construction of Box Girder Bridges in UAE/Dubai
- ā¢Strong understanding of international bridge design codes and standards
- ā¢Demonstrated experience in developing QA/QC procedures for inspections and test plans
- ā¢Excellent project management skills
- ā¢Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
- ā¢Supervise and coordinate structural engineering activities on construction sites
- ā¢Supervise and mentor junior engineers
- ā¢Follow up set inspection for installations and review inspectorās performance
- ā¢Coordinate with project managers to resolve technical issues
- ā¢Conduct site visits to assess construction progress
- ā¢Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- ā¢Prepare and present technical reports
- ā¢Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards
