Job Description

Construction Supervision & Quality Control

Supervise and inspect electromechanical works on-site, including electrical, mechanical, control, and instrumentation systems.
Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, ITPs, and as-built drawings for compliance with relevant standards (DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, IEC, and applicable codes).
Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for key equipment such as pumps, switchgear, control panels, SCADA systems, traffic signals, and ITS devices.
Identify and report non-conformances, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure resolution prior to system handover.Coordination & Interface Management

Liaise with DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, DU, and other authorities for inspections, approvals, and NOCs.
Coordinate with the Contractor's electromechanical team and other discipline engineers to resolve technical and interface issues, ensuring seamless integration across all project disciplines.Testing, Commissioning & Handover

Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring they meet approved procedures and performance requirements.
Assist in punch list preparation, system performance verification, O&M manual review, and final handover of electromechanical systems.

Qualifications

BE / BTech in Civil or Electrical Engineering
Mandatory 5 years of UAE experience and total experience should not be less than 12 -15 years
RTA or DM approved holders are preferred.

Additional Information

Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and commissioning activities; prepare progress reports on electromechanical works.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Engineer - Electrical role. Responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of construction documents on-site, while supporting discipline engineers across other projects as needed. Provides technical support to the ARE/RE and coordinates with the design office, contractor, and client representatives to ensure construction aligns with approved plans and specifications.

Job Duties:

Plan, supervise, and administer projects, applying expertise in design principles, construction procedures, regulatory requirements, zoning laws, and applicable codes and specifications.
Review engineering details as needed to support accurate and timely execution of works.
Ensure the contractor delivers the design intent as envisioned by the design engineer, and resolve any on-site design challenges.
Coordinate with the Design Engineer to address client-requested modifications and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Assist the Project Lead in reviewing and selecting materials and equipment in compliance with approved submittals.
Support the Project Lead in drafting and issuing engineering correspondence.
Identify and report non-conformities related to construction and engineering activities through the issuance of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Attend progress and coordination meetings, assisting in resolving site issues such as drawing discrepancies and technical conflicts.
Participate in snagging and project handover activities, ensuring all works meet quality and contractual standards.
Provide expert technical support to the Resident Engineer (RE) to ensure smooth project execution.
Liaise with the Design Engineer to implement necessary design modifications during construction.
Submit daily site reports, highlighting key issues, progress, and observations to the Project Lead.
Expedite client approvals to prevent delays and maintain project momentum.

Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years post-undergraduate experience
MiddleEast and consultancy experience is required
Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical Engineering field
