Overview:

AIQ is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its digital and AI solutions team, building next-generation applications that support the transformation
of oil and gas operations. The role involves developing scalable, cloud-native full-stack systems that integrate advanced AI capabilities into real-world
industrial use cases. You will work across backend and frontend technologies to deliver high-performance applications, while collaborating closely with AI
engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to translate complex requirements into robust, production-ready solutions. We encourage the use of AIassisted
development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery — but ownership stays with the engineer: you're expected to
understand, validate, and stand behind everything shipped.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications supporting AI-driven solutions for oil & gas operations.
• Develop responsive and performant frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or equivalent).
• Build robust backend services and APIs using modern frameworks (e.g., Python/FastAPI, Node.js) following microservices and event-driven
architecture.
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data through APIs, data services, and integration layers.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to translate requirements into scalable digital products.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Integrate AI/ML services and models (developed by data science teams) into production-grade applications.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability across distributed systems.
• Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices, with growing ownership over key technical decisions.
• Use AI coding assistants and agentic dev tools to accelerate implementation and testing, while applying strong engineering judgment to review
and validate AI-generated output before it ships.
• Participate in CI/CD automation, DevOps workflows, and continuous improvement of delivery pipelines.
• Support integration with industrial systems and data sources (e.g., IoT, SCADA, enterprise platforms).
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on full-stack best practices, including effective and responsible use of AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5–8 years of experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong experience in backend development using Python (FastAPI or similar) and/or Node.js.
• Proven experience building frontend applications using React, Angular, or similar SPA frameworks with TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems design.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and modern DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with integrating AI/ML services or data-driven APIs into applications (consuming — not building models).
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools in a production engineering workflow, with a track record of maintaining high code
quality and ownership standards despite (or because of) increased velocity.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently in agile environments.
• Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives is a plus.
