Overview Of The Role:

• The Retail Sales Representative is primarily responsible for driving sales and ensuring exemplary customer experiences in the store. This involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, assisting in various operational duties, and managing customer interactions professionally. They will need to support the store management in daily operations, including handling POS transactions and security protocols. Success in this role means meeting or exceeding sales targets, consistently providing high-quality service, and fostering an inviting atmosphere that encourages customer engagement and loyalty.
What You Will Do:

Store Maintenance and Customer Service

• Maintain store standards, cleanliness, and organization to ensure a positive shopping environment.
• Provide high-level customer service by being knowledgeable about product categories and assisting customers professionally.
• Create a positive first impression for customers with an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
• Ensure compliance with in-store procedures regarding pricing and ticketing to protect against incorrect pricing and losses.
• Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offering gift cards and capturing customer information in the database.
• Give sincere thanks to customers upon exit and invite them back to the store.

Training and Operations

• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations including opening, closing, and coverage.
• In the absence of the Store Manager, run the store ensuring security and operational standards are met.
• Train new staff on Point of Sale (POS) operations and take corrective actions as needed.
• Handle customer issues at the POS to maintain uninterrupted service.
• Participate in store meetings and represent a positive attitude toward merchandise and the brand.
• Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.

Sales Goals and Compliance

• Meet or exceed weekly sales goals through effective selling techniques and customer interactions.
• Attend inventories and ensure accurate counting and recording.
• Adhere punctually to the designated work schedule and demonstrate flexibility in working with peers and management.
• Follow company policies and procedures consistently.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed to maintain store appearance.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Expertise in customer service and engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with store management and peers.
• Proficiency in POS and inventory procedures.
• Understanding and adherence to compliance and store policy standards.
What Qualifies You For The Role:

• High School Degree required.
• 1-2 years of experience in retail sales mandatory.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Capability to perform some heavy lifting and stand for long periods (minimum of 8 hours).
• Behavioral competencies like possessing an eye for fashion trends and maintaining a friendly demeanor are required.
