Job Description
The Nonlinear Dynamics Research Center (NDRC) at Deanship of Research and Graduate Studies invites applications for a full-time research faculty position (Research Assistant/Associate/Professor) in Applied Mathematics. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high-impact research, contribute to teaching activities, secure external funding, and actively engage with the university’s academic and professional community.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Publications
• Conduct advanced research in Nonlinear Dynamics, Fractional Calculus, Mathematical Modeling, and Control Theory.
• Publish in high-impact, Scopus-indexed Q1/Q2 journals.
• Participate actively in national and international research conferences.
Teaching & Supervision
• Deliver lectures and workshops in specialized research areas.
• Supervise graduate students’ research projects and dissertations.
Grants & Funding
• Develop and submit competitive research grant proposals.
• Secure external research funding to support ongoing research activities.
Service & Engagement
• Organize and coordinate workshops, seminars, and conferences at both national and international levels.
• Foster collaborations with industry partners, governmental institutions, and academic research centers.
• Actively contribute to the growth and visibility of Ajman University and the NDRC.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• A Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or a closely related field from an internationally reputable institution.
• A strong publication record in high-impact SCOPUS-indexed journals with a notable h-index and citation count.
• Proven experience in teaching and research supervision at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Experience in securing and managing external research grants is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Proficiency in Mathematical software (MATLAB, Mathematica, Maple) and LaTeX.
• Ability to work collaboratively on interdisciplinary research projects.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and program development skills.
