Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor-E&I as part of our Commercial team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be full time onshore site based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Objective:
- Plan and execute site surveys to support construction, installation, and engineering activities with precision and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain control points, benchmarks, and reference systems for accurate layout and alignment of pipelines, structures, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements in all survey operations.
- Lead and supervise survey teams, assigning tasks and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA/QC teams to resolve discrepancies and support project execution.
- Manage survey data and documentation, including topographic maps, as-built records, and digital models.
- Utilize and maintain surveying instruments and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Implement safety protocols during survey activities, identifying and mitigating risks related to terrain and equipment.
- Support construction progress tracking through regular site measurements and reporting.
- Provide technical input during inspections and audits, representing the survey discipline in client and contractor meetings.
- Train and mentor junior surveyors, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely reporting of survey results, deviations, and recommendations to project management.

Requirements
- •Experienced Quantity Surveyor-E&I
