Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our construction projects, you will play a crucial role in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial management of various building and infrastructure initiatives.
⢠Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
⢠Analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications
⢠Develop and manage tender documents, including bills of quantities
⢠Evaluate bids from contractors and subcontractors
⢠Monitor project costs and prepare regular financial reports
⢠Assess and process variation orders and claims
⢠Conduct on-site measurements and valuations of completed work
⢠Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure cost-effective solutions
⢠Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes with contractors and clients
⢠Prepare interim and final account statements
⢠Advise on procurement strategies and contractual matters
⢠Stay updated on industry trends, building regulations, and cost data
Qualifications
⢠Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering,or a related field
⢠7 years of experience in pre and post contract work within a consultancy or main contractor environment
⢠Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
⢠Strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
⢠Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
⢠Knowledge of various building contracts and their application
⢠Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia
⢠Problem-solving ability and capacity to work under pressure
⢠Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
⢠Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
⢠Arabic language skills are highly desirable
