Job Description
The Public Area Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all public areas, back-of-house areas, Heartist facilities, offices, and external guest areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene. The role supervises the Public Area Attendants, conducts regular inspections, and ensures compliance with Gamra by Mantis and Accor brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Supervise the daily cleaning of all public areas, including lobbies, restaurants, corridors, meeting rooms, washrooms, recreational facilities, offices, and back-of-house areas.
- Ensure all public areas are clean, safe, and well-presented at all times.
- Assign daily duties and monitor the performance of Public Area Attendants.
- Conduct routine inspections and immediately rectify any deficiencies.
- Ensure cleaning schedules are completed in accordance with departmental standards.
- Coordinate periodic deep-cleaning programs.Team Leadership
- Train, coach, and motivate Public Area Attendants.
- Conduct daily briefings and allocate work assignments.
- Monitor productivity and ensure efficient use of manpower.
- Support onboarding and on-the-job training of new Heartists.
- Foster teamwork and maintain a positive working environment.Quality & Brand Standards
- Maintain premium presentation standards in all guest-facing and Heartist areas.
- Ensure compliance with Accor and Mantis housekeeping standards.
- Monitor cleanliness, maintenance issues, and report defects promptly to Engineering.
- Ensure all furniture, fixtures, décor, and plants are clean and properly maintained.Inventory & Equipment
- Monitor cleaning equipment, chemicals, and operating supplies.
- Ensure chemicals are handled, stored, and used safely.
- Maintain housekeeping storerooms in a clean and organized condition.
- Report damaged equipment and arrange repairs or replacements.Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi health and safety regulations.
- Maintain proper chemical handling procedures and MSDS compliance.
- Ensure all public areas remain free from safety hazards.
- Support emergency response procedures and fire safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role within a hotel or resort.
- Hotel or resort experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of housekeeping cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment, and hygiene standards.
- Good leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Good spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desirable.
- Good working knowledge of Saudi Labour Law and workplace health and safety requirements.

Requirements
