Production Manager (P&L, OCTG & Rotary Inspection) - Manufacture, Inspection & Repair Centre

Job Summary.

The Production Manager – Manufacture, Repair & Inspection Centre UAE is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and financial results of the Tuboscope Inspection/Manufacture and Repair Centre in Abu Dhabi. This role provides direct oversight of OCTG machine shop manufacturing, rotary stem component repair, and inspection services. The Production Manager is accountable for delivering safe, high-quality, and cost-effective operations while driving revenue growth, margin improvement, workforce development, and operational excellence. The position replaces the former Area Manager MENA role, with a clear focus on production leadership, P&L accountability, and business growth within the United Arab Emirates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Leadership

• Lead all day-to-day operations of the Abu Dhabi OCTG, Inspection and Machine Shop Repair Centre.

• Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and on-time delivery performance.

• Oversee OCTG manufacturing, rotary stem repair, and drill stem inspection operations.

• Optimize production planning, resource allocation, and asset utilization.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with NOV operational excellence standards. Financial & P&L Accountability

P&L responsibility for the Manufacture/Repair Centre.

• Manage revenue, cost control, margin performance, and EBITDA delivery.

• Develop and execute annual budgets and rolling forecasts.

• Identify and execute cost reduction and margin enhancement initiatives.

• Ensure disciplined working capital management and asset efficiency.

Business Growth & Market Development

• Drive growth of the OCTG machine shop manufacturing business.

• Expand rotary stem component inspection and repair services across the region.

• Support commercial teams in identifying market opportunities and strengthening customer relationships.

• Align operational capability with regional business strategy and customer demand.

Technical Oversight

• Ensure technical excellence in all OCTG and rotary inspections and repair activities.

• Oversee drill stem inspection management processes and certification standards.

• Maintain high standards of workmanship, inspection accuracy, and service reliability.

People Leadership & Talent Development

• Lead and develop a diverse, multi-cultural workforce.

• Develop a high-performance, accountable production team aligned with NOV values.

• Continued Implementation structured training and upskilling programs for inspection and machine shop personnel.

• Drive succession planning and leadership development within the facility

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Champion NOV’s HSE culture and ensure full compliance with company, customer, API, and regulatory standards.

• Promote a zero-incident culture across all production and inspection activities.

• Ensure adherence to NOV quality systems and operational procedures.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10 years’ experience managing OCTG manufacturing and/or rotary stem repair production operations.

• Demonstrated expertise in drill stem inspection management.

• Proven experience managing departmental or business unit P&L performance.

• Strong leadership experience overseeing diverse operational teams.

• In-depth knowledge of OCTG, rotary equipment, inspection standards, and oilfield service operations.

• Experience operating within the Middle East Oil & Gas market.
