Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Supplier Engagement Analyst to lead supplier engagement initiatives across Retail, eCommerce, and Vendor data ecosystems. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring high-quality data delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across a portfolio of markets.
You will collaborate closely with Data Operations, Strategy, Analytics, and Project Management teams to strengthen supplier relationships, drive onboarding and compliance initiatives, improve data quality, and support business growth opportunities. This role combines data expertise, stakeholder management, and strategic problem-solving, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on NIQ’s data assets and client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier engagement activities across Retailers, eCommerce partners, and Vendors, ensuring strong collaboration and successful data partnerships.
- Monitor supplier performance against SLAs and KPIs, identifying risks and driving corrective actions when required.
- Analyze data quality metrics and work proactively with suppliers to improve data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for strategic supplier relationships.
- Drive onboarding activities, including data format alignment, quality validation, testing coordination, and readiness assessments.
- Partner with Data Analysts and Operations teams to monitor data receipt and continuously improve operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to expand data coverage and unlock additional retailer and eCommerce data sources.
- Support change management initiatives related to supplier system changes, data structure modifications, and file delivery processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Project Managers, Operations Strategy, Data Governance, and Analytics teams.
- Manage escalations and complex supplier issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives involving SAP environments, transactional data, FTP/MFT integrations, and data exchange frameworks.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve supplier engagement models and data acquisition capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience in supplier management, data operations, onboarding, or stakeholder engagement environments.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into business insights.
- Strong understanding of data structures, file formats, mapping methodologies, and ETL concepts.
- Experience working with data quality frameworks, KPI management, and operational performance monitoring.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Python is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAP environments, data transfer technologies, FTP, and Managed File Transfer solutions is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Fluent English communication skills; Arabic language proficiency would be an advantage.
