The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project schedules to ensure timely project delivery. This role requires close coordination with Project Managers, site teams, and subcontractors to track progress, identify delays, and propose corrective actions.
Key responsibilities include:
• Developing comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard tools (such as Primavera P6).
• Monitoring project progress and updating schedules regularly to reflect actual performance.
• Conducting schedule analysis and forecasting to identify critical paths, potential bottlenecks, and risks.
• Coordinating with project teams to gather accurate progress data and update timelines accordingly.
• Preparing and presenting weekly and monthly progress reports to management and stakeholders.
• Supporting project teams with planning best practices and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Identifying opportunities for schedule improvements and recommending adjustments to enhance project efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Maintaining records of project milestones, deliverables, and changes.
• Performing risk assessments related to project timelines and assisting in developing mitigation plans.
• The employee may be required to undertake additional duties as assigned by management in line with organizational needs.Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the construction or interior fit-out industry.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate scheduling information clearly.
• Experience in monitoring project progress, preparing reports, and supporting project management teams.
• Knowledge of local construction practices and regulations in the UAE is preferred.
• Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
