Physician - Pediatric Cardiology

JOB SUMMARY

The Physician – Pediatric Cardiology is responsible for the delivery of high-quality evidence-based care; effective and efficient diagnosing, managing and treating all patients placed under the role holder’s care. The Physician – Pediatric Cardiology makes recommendations, orders appropriate therapeutics and diagnostics as per the patient’s diagnosed condition. The Physician – Pediatric Cardiology is also responsible for providing guidance to less experienced colleagues. The post holder needs to be competent in all aspects of pediatric cardiology including neonatal and complex cardiac cases, Experience or a clinical interest in the management of pediatric heart failure, including cardiomyopathy, advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support (including Left Ventricular Assist Devices [LVAD]) would be an advantage.The Physician will work with the Division Chief of Cardiology to share the clinical duties, education, research, and some administrative tasks.
