Job Summary:
To assist the product center engineering (PCE) group with PDC drill bit analysis and design. Focusing on process improvements, bit design projects and collaborative work with manufacturing engineering. The job holder will develop skills and knowledge to work within the PCE group. This will be achieved by a structured training plan alongside on the job training that will provide experience working with different departments within ReedHycalog. Training will also be provided on the CAD systems and other analytics tools.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• All tasks are carried out in accordance with Engineering group policies and quality procedures under the leadership of the Engineering Manager.
• Contribute to sales and marketing efforts to ensure products offered are in line with engineering group and company strategies
• Assist field testing and new technology commercialization
• Develop accurate and complete documentation of data and project results in a timely manner.
• Interact with personnel in other departments and disciplines.
• Consistently produce quality work and recommend areas where quality can be improved.
• Engineering Change procedures are implemented thoroughly, ensuring minimum disruption to the business at all times
• Ensure all assigned deliverables are technically in accordance with client requirements and established contract requirements
• Carry out any other reasonable duties when requested by a line manager
Qualifications:
• Undertaking university degree in mechanical Engineering.
• On course for GPA 3.5+
• Undertaking university degree with internship requirements.
• Solid engineering knowledge and fundamentals.
• Critical thinker.
• Problem solver.
• Analytical knowledge.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Good communicator.
