About NOV
NOV is a leading global provider of equipment, technology, and services to the energy industry. We are seeking an experienced Operations Support Specialist to join our team in Dubai. This role plays a key part in supporting operational and financial processes, ensuring accurate cost tracking, reporting, inventory management, and coordination across multiple business functions.
The successful candidate will act as a vital link between operations and management, supporting project cost monitoring, accruals, unbilled revenue tracking, customer billing activities, and operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Financial Support
- Support and monitor accounting-related processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, costing, inventory, and general financial reporting.
- Assist with cost tracking, revenue forecasting, monthly accruals, flash reporting, and month-end reporting activities.
- Monitor purchase orders, freight costs, supplier invoices, and related operational expenditures.
- Track operational orders and associated costs from request initiation through invoice receipt and processing.
- Prepare and maintain weekly cost and operational reports for management review.
- Provide administrative support to the operations team as required.
Inventory & Process Management
- Maintain visibility and control of inventory transactions and inventory flow within company systems (JDE, Hubble, TAT and other ERP system).
- Support purchasing and goods receiving activities.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and documentation within company systems and shared drives.
- Establish equipment status recaps and turnaround time (TAT) reports.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient business operations.
Systems & Reporting
- Utilize ERP and reporting systems to support operational workflows and reporting requirements.
- Monitor operational data and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Assist in maintaining process efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations support, finance, accounting, inventory control, or related functions.
- Experience with purchasing processes and goods receiving activities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Have working knowledge of Quality Systems, Quality practices, and Continuous Improvement.
- Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, finance policy’s, and procedure manuals.
- Have the Process Inspection Competency Certification and familiarity.
- Reporting, Company expectations are to receive accurate information.
- JAFZA experience is an advantage.
