Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Operational Readiness & Assurance (ORA) Engineer to ensure that all ongoing and upcoming projects achieve full operational readiness across all phases — Concept, Design, Execution, Commissioning, and Handover.

The successful candidate will integrate operational, maintenance, reliability, integrity, and safety requirements into project delivery to ensure seamless transition into safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

Project ORA Oversight

• Monitor and track ORA compliance across all project lifecycle phases.
• Conduct readiness assessments and ensure alignment with operational standards.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks prior to start-up.
• Prepare weekly and monthly ORA status reports.Operations–Engineering Interface

• Act as liaison between Operations, Engineering, Projects, and Commissioning teams.
• Participate in Design Reviews, HAZID/HAZOP workshops, PSSR, and commissioning readiness reviews.
• Ensure operational input is embedded in Basis for Design, Operating Philosophy, maintenance strategies, and spare parts planning.
• Coordinate stakeholders to ensure full operational alignment at every project stage.ORA Framework & Procedure Development

• Review and update ORA procedures aligned with company and industry standards (ISO/API).
• Develop phase-based readiness checklists, templates, and evaluation matrices.
• Ensure CMMS/SAP readiness for new facilities (equipment hierarchy, maintenance plans, critical spares).RASI Matrix Development

• Develop and standardize RASI matrices across Concept, Design, Execution, Commissioning, and Handover phases.
• Clearly define stakeholder roles and accountabilities.ORA Dashboard (Power BI)

• Develop and maintain a Power BI dashboard to track:
• ORA status by project and phase
• Risks and action tracking
• Readiness index scoring
• Recommendations and observations
• Provide real-time reporting to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, or equivalent).
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas / LNG / Gas Processing / Petrochemical industries.
• Minimum 5 years’ direct experience in Operational Readiness & Assurance (ORA).
• Strong experience in commissioning & start-up (CSU) and asset handover.
• Familiarity with SAP PM / CMMS systems.
• Experience participating in HAZOP, HAZID, and PSSR workshops.
• Strong reporting, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Information

• CMRP or equivalent reliability certification
• Experience in Power BI dashboard development
• GCC project experience
