Mid Level Design System Manager/Visual Designer - On-site Abu Dhabi - Octopus

Job Purpose:

Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the organization’s design system. Work closely with UX/UI designers and developers to ensure that components, patterns, and guidelines are consistently applied across digital products, helping to maintain design coherence and efficiency.

Requirements

Accountabilities:
• Design System Support – Maintain and update the design system, ensuring components, patterns, and guidelines are documented and applied correctly.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with designers and developers to ensure consistent implementation of components and patterns.
• Documentation Maintenance – Keep design system documentation up to date for internal teams.
• Quality Assurance – Ensure design elements align with brand guidelines across products.
• Training & Support – Assist teams in onboarding and using the design system.
• Feedback Gathering – Collect stakeholder feedback to improve design system performance.

Experience & Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience in UX/UI design or front-end development
• Exposure to working with design systems and component libraries
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Frontify, and Token Studio
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Familiarity with component-based systems such as React or Angular

Competencies:
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to learn and grow in design system practices
• Multilingual knowledge is preferred, with Arabic proficiency as an advantage
