Manager, OT Systems & controls

Role Summary

• Leads Maaden’s systems, and controls function, ensuring consistent standards, safe operation, and effective performance of industrial control systems across sites.
• Owns OT systems and controls standards including PLC, DCS, SCADA, MES integration, and control system governance.
• Acts as the control systems authority, ensuring reliable, standardized, and well-governed OT environments across operations.Key Responsibilities

•Own OT Systems and Controls−Own the enterprise roadmap for OT systems and controls including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and control system integrations−Guide system selection, configuration standards, and upgrade strategies for control platforms−Support site teams in deploying and maintaining compliant control systems•Ensure Safe and Reliable Control Operations−Promote safe-by-design control system architectures and operating practices−Support performance monitoring, diagnostics, and continuous improvement of control systems−Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for control system reliability issues−Design and deploy ‘closed loop by default’ systems that fast-track Autonomous operations beyond conventional APC’s•Enable Integration and Interoperability−Define control system integration standards with OT infrastructure, data platforms, and enterprise systems−Partner with OT Infrastructure, Storage, Networking & Connectivity teams to ensure controls are deployable and operableCore Competencies

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Control, Automation, or Systems Engineering | Postgrad Masters preferred
• 12+ years’ experience in industrial control systems or OT environments
• Strong hands-on knowledge of PLC, DCS, and SCADA platforms
• Experience governing control system standards across multiple sites
• Background in mining, process, or asset-intensive industries preferred
