The primary mission of the Manager - Facility Safety is to protect life and property through the implementation of the building's safety plan including the management of the Fire Command Station and the supervision of the fire response team, floor wardens, and deputy floor wardens and building evacuation supervisors. The incumbent ensures a safe environment for employees, visitors, and patients in accordance with all government regulations and Sidraās policies and procedures. He/She reacts in all emergencies with the authority of the Facilities Executive Director and Chief of Corporate Services. The post-holder manages general safety, hazardous safety, and Life Safety section. He/she leads, directs and motivates the Team Members in his assigned chain of command. One of the main responsibilities for the Manager Facility Safety is to prepare the hospital for a wide variety of emergencies and to ensure Joint Commission International āFacility Safetyā compliance by conforming to Joint Commission compliance as it pertains to the Environment of Care and Life Safety. The incumbent in this position also ensures that Facility business continuity plans are in place that will allow the hospital to function in the event of any emergency.
