JOB PURPOSE:

Plan and manage the delivery and availability of Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions (One ERP) and services critical to the ADNOC Group’s core business areas.

Manage the operational activities of digital platforms and adopt modern technologies to transform the digital landscape that will result in cost savings and efficiencies in line with the Group Digital and Cybersecurity standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Provide expertise and technical acumen in shaping and delivering ERP platforms, associated roadmaps and plans and aligning ADNOC Group Digital and Cybersecurity investments’ portfolios to the Company business strategy and Group Digital & Cybersecurity requirements.

Ensure efficient design, selection, development, implementation, and integration Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services covering all aspects of the business operations including large-scale delivery of mission-critical IT solutions and services that enable the Company’s competitive advantage.

Manage the delivery of Group wide programs and projects in compliance with the Function delivery standards. Contribute to the development and rollout of ADNOC Group Digital & Cybersecurity standards to achieve a uniform, standardized service delivery, continuity, quality, and operations. Ensure constant compliance with all applicable information security and management regulations & standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

IT Strategic & Tactical Planning

  • Contribute to the development of the Group Digital & Cybersecurity strategy and lead the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services related roadmaps.
  • Coordinate and consult with senior business management and other Group Digital & Cybersecurity managers, to ensure that the Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services related Group Digital & Cybersecurity strategy components are successfully translated into solutions and services.
  • Contribute to the regular review of the Group Digital & Cybersecurity Strategy at pre-defined intervals to ensure that it reflects the Company’s evolving business requirements and ensures its constant alignment with the Company's short, medium, and long-term business plans.Business Enablement
  • Manage the assessment and implementation of applicable emerging business solution or architecture including, but not limited to, block-chain, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, big data, non-manufacturing robotics, augmented reality, etc.
  • Plan and manage the identification of domain use cases for potential Group Digital & Cybersecurity enablement in coordination with all required stakeholders.
  • Manage the planning and development of new business cases or/and delivery of related initiatives.
  • Manage and control domain’s analytics and business intelligence programs that will allow the company business leaders make advanced data-informed decisions.
  • Advise the business leaders on automations to improve the business processes efficiency, enforce compliance, and in alignment with the known best practices.Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and servicesSolutions Delivery & Operations
  • Establish a customer and business-focused culture within the Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services section capable of managing numerous IT services and considerable technological complexity.
  • Guide the analysis, scope development, technical evaluations, prototyping, developing, implementing, and delivering solutions, as well as maintaining the implemented/developed solutions.
  • Manage the development, implementation and support of high quality and cost-effective Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services deemed critical to the business operations, including:
  • Enterprise resources planning as the core integrated business management solution for ADNOC Group.
  • Business analytics, big data analytics and all other potential emerging technologies to enable the Group leadership to make the most informed decisions.
  • Ensure that thesection (including engaged external organizations) meets the appropriate service level agreements established with internal users’ functions.
  • Oversee and ensure that all deployed Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services have followed a comprehensive testing and quality assurance process, quality assurance reviews and have fulfilled the Function IT services release process requirements.
  • Ensure that the enterprise architecture principals, data management and information security standards are applied throughout the solution development and implementation lifecycles.
  • Ensure that all programs and projects are managed in compliance with the Projects Management Methodology and related standards and timely update management on the progress of assigned programs and projects against plans, in terms of schedule, resources and cost.IT Investments Planning, Management & Control
  • Adopt optimal value delivery and cost optimization as key drivers for selection, implementation and management of Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services via a combination of innovation, shared services, benchmarking best practices.
  • Manage the design, implementation, maintenance, and sourcing of Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services in ADNOC and throughout the Group to streamline operational efficiency. Manage the delivery of the Department’s programs and projects in line with the business objectives through active sponsorship and leadership to meet completeness, time, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure, in association with the stakeholders, that the Company’s business processes are continuously improved to achieve maximum utilization of the business applications’ landscape so that optimal benefits are realized.
  • Support the processes of identification, evaluation and selection of qualified vendors and services providers to ensure that ADNOC obtains high quality and cost-effective IT products and services.
  • Manage the assessment of Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions, services and projects feasibilities, proof of concepts. Determine cost versus benefits scenarios and evaluate alternative options to ensure optimum return on investment to the Company.
  • Manage the capacity planning and resource scheduling ensuring that the resourcing of departmental programs and projects is adequate (via both external service providers and the internal resource allocation process) and in line with business priorities.
  • Act as the technical authority for reviewing and endorsing any IT software procurement, development of computer programs, mobile applications, and cloud-based applications for use by the ADNOC Group. Relationships Management
  • Build strong working relationships with ADNOC Group management and develops detailed understanding of their issues, challenges and opportunities for better IT services delivery and operations.
  • Develop strategic relationships with solutions providers, service partners and technology integrators for sustainable services quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure the highest levels of transparency and collaboration between the section and its business partners.
  • Manage and enhance relationships with technology suppliers and partners providing solutions and services within the domain, including negotiating terms and monitoring supplier performance to ensure high standards of delivery and support.Group IT Modernization
  • Contribute to the Group IT digital transformation journey with an emphasis on cost optimization, technology complexity reduction and information security.
  • Advise the Business functions on the benefits of adopting integrated business services and facilitates the required consensus on the business process standardization efforts.
  • Deliver scalable and agile Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services enabling ADNOC to keep its competitive edge, move forward and meet the evolving and changing business requirements.Information Security & Operational Resilience
  • Work with other departments to enables the highest levels of business resilience and IT services’ continuity and ensures its active integration with the overall company’s business continuity plans and processes.
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of ADNOC information security and risk management programs.
  • Ensure the Company’s Upstream & Downstream Solutions are delivered and managed with the highest levels of integrity, security and availability and ensures that their associated risk levels are maintained at minimum.
  • Ensure that all Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions and services applicable plans for IT technical disaster recovery, services continuity and related recovery procedures are prepared and regularly tested for relevance, adequacy, and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the implementation of the most adequate security architecture and configuration in production domain solutions to proactively protect their confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Act as an escalation point for all outstanding risks and issues, ensuring smooth and secure introduction of new or modified solutions into the production environment.Knowledge Management
  • Collaboratively, with other stakeholders, promote the Company’s knowledge management and intellectual capital culture. Lead the establishing IT solutions that harness overall organizational knowledge assets and innovation.
  • Implement the Functions’ quality management program provisions to drive business excellence, process effectiveness, and customer experience. Measure and report on departmental performance indicators to improve efficiency of applicable resources, technology, services and processes. Management
  • Plan and supervise the activities of the personnel and resources of the Department to achieve the Division objectives in an efficient and cost-conscious manner while ensuring implementation of approved operational plans for the Department in line with Division objectives.
  • Develop the knowledge, competencies and innovative spirit in the Department and support the establishment of Personal Development Plans (PDP’s), Succession Planning and Talent pipeline within the Department in coordination with the Human Capability Group to continuously develop employees with emphasis on UAE Nationals to meet Emiratization targets.Budgets and Operational Plans
  • Compile and provide input for preparation of the Division budgets and regularly monitor expenditure against approved the Department budget levels.
  • Investigate, highlight and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Lead the implementation of approved Department policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls in order to support execution of the Division work programs in line with Company and International standards.Performance Management
  • Implement the Company Performance Management System for individuals within the Department in accordance with Company approved guidelines and continuously monitor the achievement of the Department KPIs related to the approved Annual Performance Management Contract and the Balanced Score Card.Organization Structure and Development
  • Review, develop and recommend the appropriate organisation structure for the Department that will best utilize human capital while proactively incorporating sustainability into the on-going work practices to meet the business objectives.Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Encourage innovation, enhance employee motivation and support initiatives for implementation of Change Management to continuously improve operations and services.
  • Propose improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the Department.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
  • Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, systems & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Department in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
  • Ensure adequate HSE training and induction for all Department employees to meet HSE standards.Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reports
  • Prepare all Department MIS and progress reports to provide accurate and timely reports and necessary information to Company Management to effectively manage the business.COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal

  • Regular contacts with IT Management Team and End-users up to Directors across ADNOC on provision of IT solutions and services delivery.
  • Frequent contact with Programme / Project Manager and Enterprise Architect on matters relating to creating synergies in the overall project portfolio, to define road maps etc.
  • Regular contact with the counterparts in ADNOC Group Companies on intra-group coordination on IT related issues.External
  • Frequent contacts with ADNOC Group’s companies, internal/external auditors, local/international vendors, consultants, and IT professional organizations to facilitate quality and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Occasional contacts with senior management of international oil companies for exchange of information/benchmarking/study visits and training programmes.
  • Regular contacts with international IT service providers and telecommunication providers on matters related to IT services and strategic directions

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent business studies. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 15 years of IT experience including at least 8 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in IT with project management exposure for large/ long term IT projects in IT solutions development and IT services management. Experience as a managing consultant from a top tier IT Consultancy firm is also preferred.
