About the Job:
To direct under the authority of SVP/VP all Commercial chartering activities.
Key Accountabilities
Direct all day-to-day Commercial activities relating to the chartering in / out of vessels / cargoes under the authority of SVP/VP, and where necessary providing administrative and technical support to theteam.
Plan and manage the day-to-day execution of both tonnage and cargo requirements clearly communicating and guiding the team and owning the outcomes.
Responsible for managing internal and external customer relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Understanding internal customers forward requirements and needs from ADNOC L&S.
Develop new business opportunities with ADNOC and third party customers to grow and diversify the revenue streams.
Approve relevant documentations in order to meet requirements of ADNOC standards and requirements.
Provide technical and administrative assistance during negotiation phase to achieve terms and conditions commercially favourable to ADNOC
Prepare, analyse and present reports (specifically with regards to market conditions) as required in a timely and professional manner.
Supervision
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Identify skill gaps and train and develop the assigned staff to enable them to become proficient in the execution of their respective objectives.
Budgets
Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances in costs / revenue to support effective performanceand cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures inorder to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company andInternational standards.
Performance Management
Guide and direct the team towards the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the
Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree in a commercial discipline or equivalent qualification.
- 8 years of Commercial experience. Professional Certifications
- ICS.
- Sea Going Certification.
Requirements
