Manager Business Finance

The Manager – Business Finance provides financial analysis, reporting, and market intelligence to support the division in achieving its objectives. The role focuses on evaluating high-impact business opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and assessing financial risks to support decision-making. It also contributes to annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting in collaboration with the central finance function. The role ensures that financial insights are translated into actionable recommendations for business leaders and supports strategic alignment across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial analysis of business opportunities such as new projects, investments, and market expansions to evaluate financial viability and strategic fit.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to forecast outcomes and support decision-making.
• Calculate and interpret ROI for initiatives to prioritize investments.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses including profitability, cost-benefit, and margin analysis.
• Translate complex financial data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for stakeholders at various levels.
• Identify financial risks such as cost overruns, revenue shortfalls, and market fluctuations.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and support implementation of risk management practices.
• Assist in contingency planning for potential financial challenges.
• Support annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes with relevant financial inputs.
• Collaborate with central budgeting teams to ensure accurate and aligned budgets.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts covering revenue, expenses, and capital requirements.
• Create dashboards and management reports using tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Perform advanced analytics on large datasets using tools like Alteryx and Azure Data Factory.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data in reporting.
• Communicate financial insights clearly to business leaders and stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between the business unit and central finance teams.
• Resolve financial discrepancies in coordination with central finance.
• Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems. Requirements and Skills

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certifications such as CFA or CA preferred
• Certification in Advanced Excel Modeling Experience

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in finance or business finance roles Core Competencies
