Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all logistics activities related to yacht operations, including procurement, shipping, inventory control, and delivery of materials, spare parts, and equipment. The role ensures timely and cost-effective support to yacht construction, maintenance, and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the procurement and delivery of yacht parts, materials, and equipment.
Manage local and international shipments (air, sea, and land freight).
Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal departments.
Ensure proper documentation for imports/exports, including customs clearance.
Track shipments and resolve delays or issues proactively.
Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels for critical spare parts.
Support yacht builds and refit projects by ensuring timely availability of materials.
Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.
Prepare logistics reports and maintain accurate records.
Optimize logistics costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in marine, yacht, or shipbuilding industry.
• Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, customs regulations, and documentation.
• Experience working with international suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of marine parts and yacht operations is an advantage.
