Job Description

The Legal Counsel will play a critical role in safeguarding the company’s interests in KSA. The primary focus is to provide high-level legal solutions through meticulous contract review and advisory services. By managing regulatory compliance and responding to legal disputes, you will proactively minimize legal risks and support the overall business management of our regional operations.

Key Objectives

• Strategic Advisory: Provide optimum legal solutions through comprehensive contract reviews and expert counsel.
• Risk Mitigation: Minimize the company’s legal exposure by managing regulatory compliance and responding effectively to major disputes.

Position Responsibilities

• Contractual Examination: Review and examine various general and specialized contracts, providing actionable solutions to mitigate potential risks.
• Legal Consultation: Offer internal legal counsel across various business units, ensuring that legal advice is integrated into business decision-making.
• Dispute & Investigation Management: Execute strategies for responding to litigation, arbitration, and claims. Support the company during government investigations and handle all necessary litigation reporting.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Identify and analyze local legal trends, including new legislation and precedents related to labor, environment, HR, and fair trade.
• Business Alignment: Develop a deep understanding of the relevant business unit’s technology and commercial goals to ensure legal advice reflects practical business needs.

• Legal Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of company law, commercial law, labor acts, and fair trade regulations.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify the underlying causes of complex legal issues and provide structured, logical solutions.
• Negotiation & Influence: Strong ability to logically advocate for the company’s interests and reflect business requirements during negotiations.
• Communication: Skilled at translating complex legal concepts into clear, persuasive documents for non-legal stakeholders and individual contributors.
• Research & Information Management: Ability to utilize global legal databases to track trends and organize information systematically for stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to network with various departments to ensure smooth legal support across the organization.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) is required. Master's degree preferred but not essential.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with bachelor's degree or minimum 6 years' experience with master's degree qualification
• Preferred solid private practice experience or if you have worked in an international law firm or multinational environment, with a focus on contracts and regulatory
• Language Skills: Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents in both English and Arabic (preferred for local regulatory compliance).
