As a Kitchen Steward, you are a vital part of the culinary team, ensuring that kitchens, preparation areas, storage spaces, and service equipment remain clean, safe, and fully operational at all times.
You will contribute directly to the success of our restaurants, in-room dining, banqueting operations, and culinary teams by maintaining a hygienic and efficient back-of-house environment.

You will work closely with the Stewarding Supervisor, Chefs, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure all kitchen and service equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and available when needed.
From maintaining dishwashing areas and handling kitchen equipment to supporting banquet operations and maintaining hygiene standards, your work will contribute to the smooth operation of every culinary outlet within the hotel.

Reporting to the Stewarding Supervisor, the Kitchen Steward will support daily stewarding operations across the hotel’s culinary facilities.

Your Day-to-Day
No two days are the same; your responsibilities will span a range of operational activities, including but not limited to:
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, workstations, and stewarding areas
- Follow cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures at all times
Kitchen & Equipment Support
- Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and available for operational use
- Assist with the movement and storage of kitchen equipment and supplies
- Support chefs and kitchen teams with operational requirements when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
Waste Management & Hygiene
- Remove and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures
- Segregate waste and support sustainability initiatives where applicable
- Ensure garbage collection areas remain clean and hygienic
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times
Operational Support
- Support restaurant, banquet, and in-room dining operations as required
- Assist with setting up and clearing operational equipment during events and busy service periods
- Respond promptly to operational requests from culinary and service teams
- Maintain adequate stock of cleaning materials and stewarding supplies
Health & Safety Compliance
- Follow all health, safety, and security procedures
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to manufacturer guidelines
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment malfunctions immediately
- Participate in safety and hygiene training programs
Teamwork & Professionalism
- Work collaboratively with Culinary, Stewarding, and Food & Beverage teams
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance
- Support colleagues during busy operational periods
- Contribute to a culture of cleanliness, safety, and teamwork

What We Need From You
Ideally, you bring some (or all) of the following qualifications and experience.
Education
- High School Certificate or equivalent preferred
Experience
- Previous stewarding, kitchen cleaning, or hospitality experience preferred
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, or large-scale food service operations is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices preferred
